Amy Poehler is an American comedian as well as a voice actor, actor, producer and writer with an estimated net worth of $25 million. Most famously, she is known for her role in "Parks and Recreation" which is an NBC comedy. She has been in a variety of films. She was made famous by "Saturday Night Live" in 1971. Amy Meredith Poehler was born in Newton Massachusetts. Eileen Poehler and William Poehler are both school teachers. She has one younger brother named Greg who works as a producer and actor. Amy was born in Burlington Massachusetts. Amy got her acting bug at age 10, when she portrayed Dorothy in the movie, The Middle School character from the Wizard of Oz. She was active in the drama department in high school as also being a participant in the Student Council, and an athlete on the softball and soccer teams. She completed her high school degree in 1989 and enrolled at the nearby Boston College. Amy was a part of an improv comedy troupe during college. She graduated from Boston College 1993.
