Aisling O'Sullivan, more popularly known as the stage name Aisling Bea (born March 16, 1984) is an Irish actress, writer and stand-up comic. Bea, who began appearing as a part-time actress in Irish or British television programs in 2009, made her debut as an stand-up comic in 2011. After 2012 she had been appearing in sketch comedy shows, sitcoms, and other similar programming. When she was awarded an award at Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2011, Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2011, she became a regular on various panel show where she is becoming a mainstay. She was captain of the 8 Out of 10 Cats team from 2016-2017 and is regularly a contestant on the spinoff show, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Bea's mom Helen was also a trainer for jockeys as well as a former professional jockey was responsible for the care of her daughter and Sinead. Their family was enthralled by races as well as horses. Bea started out as a tourist guide for the Irish National Stud. But she soon realized that her love was acting, not racing.
